tuition payments
Monthly tuition due on the 1st of the month. Failure to provide payment by the 5th of the month will result in a $15 late fee. Payments may be made via the following options: auto billing, Paypal, over-the-phone, cash, check, credit. If joining after the 1st week of the month, payments will be prorated by week (excluding Holidays). We're closed on the following Holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, Spring break, Memorial Day, July 4th.
payment policies
Any payment that is not honored by a financial institution will result in a $15 late fee. Any returned check will result in a $25 service charge. No discounts or prorated options will be provided for scheduled days off, Holidays, illness, family events, or school functions. Prorates will only apply to joining a class. For example, if a student joins a class on the third meeting of that month, payment will be prorated for the final 2 meetings. For insufficient or neglected payments, student participation may be suspended until account is settled. All registration fees, tuition, recital, costume and other payments are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Monthly statements will be sent out on the 1st of the month to the primary email account holder. A receipt will be provided for all payments made in cash.
recitals
Annual Performances are held once a year at the Allen ISD Performing Arts Center. Allen Dance Studio, Inc. must receive dues by December 1st. All fees must be collected in advance to order costumes, reserve our location, as well as pay production costs. All costume providers have deadlines on their ship date. If a student misses the due date we can not guarantee their costume in time for the recital. There are no refunds once payment has been collected - costume providers will not cancel orders once in production. Please ensure that you are committed to participating in the recital before you register. You must fill out a recital registration form online for each class you desire to participate in no later than December 1st.
withdrawal
All classes require 2 month minimum enrollment. Student may exchange class during this time frame (decision must be made 2 weeks before the third month of classes begins). A 30-day notice is required to discontinue any class. To withdrawal from class, student(s)’ parent / legal guardian must inform the studio office (not the instructor) in writing via email: info@allendancestudio.com
attendance / tardiness
Students who are tardy (arrive late to class) may be required to make-up classes. A minimum attendance level is required. If a student misses more than four classes without an official notice, student may require private lesson(s) to make-up missed classes and to be able to participate in the end-of-the-year recital.
make-ups
Student(s) may make-up missed classes by coming to the same class that meets on another day or join another class of similar style. Days missed will not be prorated.
parental responsbility
It is the responsibility of the parent(s) / guardian to be aware of all studio activities, such as but not limited to: observation days, Holidays, recitals, extra classes, practices, dates the studio is open / closed. Allen Dance Studio, Inc. will post notices and information at our website & inside our facilities, including our Facebook fan-page, send emails, as well as send home notices with students. It is the parent(s) / guardian’s responsibility to check with the studio office and or our website to ensure they are adequately informed. It is also the parent(s) / guardian’s responsibility to inform Allen Dance Studio, Inc. of any address / email / phone # changes or updates. If you are not receiving email communications please contact the studio office immediately.
lobby / halls
All non-participating children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent / guardian while waiting in the lobby. All non-participating children in the lobby / halls must remain quiet and are not permitted to run or roam freely. If noise levels become disruptive, non-participating children and their accompanying adult may be asked to kindly wait outside the lobby until all participating children are finished with class. *Water for participating children / students is available from dispenser.
care of students
Allen Dance Studio, Inc. regards safety as a high priority and will always guard the well-being of all students. That said, Allen Dance Studio, Inc. will not be held liable for post-class care of students. Phone calls will be made to parent / guardian for students left for excessive amounts of time, and student(s) may be asked to wait in the office until parent / guardian arrives. Please be considerate of all studio / office hours. Parent(s) / guardian with student(s) under the age of 5 must inform their instructor before leaving the studio. If parent / guardian does not return in time before the next class begins, student(s) will remain with their instructor or be asked to wait in the office, with office staff personnel.
restrooms
Parent(s) / guardian, please allow time for your children to use the restroom before class, so not to impede instruction. During class time / instruction students may not loiter in the restrooms and must return to class immediately after using restrooms.
injuries
All parents and legal guardians waive the right to any and all legal action for any injury sustained on studio property resulting from but not limited to normal activity (dancing, jumping, leaping, turns, etc.) conducted by the student(s) before, during or after class time. This also includes any and all horseplay.
photo / video release
Allen Dance Studio, Inc. is hereby granted permission to take pictures and videos of the students and use them for advertisement, display or security purposes. Allen Dance Studio, Inc. is hereby granted permission to post pictures and videos of students on the Allen Dance Studio, Inc. website, Facebook fan-page and other social media platforms.
