Bio – Nikki Hooper

Nikki Hooper began dancing at a young age at Vernetta’s Dance Studio San Diego’s longest running dance studio, which is owned and run by her great aunt. At the age of twelve, Nikki began teaching and choreographing at the studio. She choreographed and performed Tap, Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop routines for Vernetta’s Dance Studio for several years. At the age of fourteen, Nikki began to compete in International Latin Ballroom through Mary Murphy’s Champion Ballroom Studio in San Diego. She competed in San Diego and Las Vegas Dancesport competitions where she received 1st place in all her categories.

In high school, Nikki participated in the dance and drama programs. While continuing her work at Vernetta’s Dance Studio, she also taught at other studios in Murrieta, CA. Nikki performed in multiple ballets including The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. She also choreographed and performed in numerous musicals for the local community theater. In addition, she was the lead choreographer for her high school drama program during her junior and senior years. Nikki also choreographed and performed in the school’s annual dance production.

At the age of eighteen, Nikki and her family moved to Allen, TX. She has since worked with USAG gymnastics teams, focusing on ballet and technique. She has worked with drill teams and other dance studios in the area. Nikki has performed in several different showcases around Dallas. She is very excited to be a part of the team at Allen Dance Studio, Inc., and to continue to work with young dancers.
