Born in Roundrock Texas, Beth Mason began dancing at the age of 6. After deciding that playing outside was more compelling than Ballet class, she took a short break but couldn’t stay away from the music and the movement. Beth studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Contemporary seriously as a youth and graduated with her BA in Dance from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. After graduation, Beth helped found, direct, and danced for Wasatch Contemporary Dance Co. While working with WCDC, Beth had the opportunity to teach high school students all over the western United States. Beth has a passion for teaching dance, and a love for creating unique and artistic choreography. Just as Martha Graham said, “The body says what words cannot,” Beth believes that dance is a type of communication that transcends what can be spoken.
